Volunteer Awards 2018

On June 3 we celebrated Volunteer Sunday which included an appreciation luncheon for volunteers. Pope John XXIII parish’s vitality and service is what it is because of the dedication and generosity of all parishioners. Special recognition was given to 4 volunteers who represent the spirit of all volunteers at Pope John XXIII church.

On behalf of the parish community I offer gratitude to all and am deeply aware that we are truly blessed by so many faith-filled and caring people.

Maryanne Hall

Maryanne is very active within our parish. She is on the cleaning crew, a money counter, greeter, helps make sandwiches for the Oxford Inn, and a part of the Human Development committee.

Joe & Joyce McMullen

Joe & Joyce are quite busy, especially during the summer. Both are greeters and consistently help out at the weekend warriors days. Joe is on the Building and Grounds Committee and an integral part of the parish garden as he preps, plants, weeds, waters, and harvests the bountiful vegetables.

Joan Wells

Joan is instrumental in our flower gardens looking so pretty as she has taken care of them for years. She also helps with the food pantry and is a money counter.
